A column-free automated parking structure designed for large-scale municipal, mixed-use, and transit-oriented developments. The Elevated No-Post System eliminates interior structural columns — creating unobstructed floor plates that maximize both parking density and architectural flexibility.
Conventional automated parking structures use interior columns to support multi-level decks, which limits vehicle positioning flexibility and reduces usable floor area. The Elevated No-Post System is engineered with a structural approach that eliminates interior posts entirely — the load-bearing frame is perimeter-based, leaving the interior free for unrestricted vehicle movement and storage.
This architecture makes the system particularly well-suited for large projects where hundreds of spaces must be accommodated efficiently within a constrained footprint, and where the underground or above-grade structure is shared with residential, retail, or office uses.
Driver enters the ground-level bay and exits the vehicle. The system scans vehicle dimensions and assigns a storage position.
Carrier platforms move the vehicle horizontally and vertically within the column-free structure, placing it in the optimal position.
Vehicle is requested via app, kiosk, or valet terminal. Typical delivery to exit bay in under two minutes.
The No-Post System is designed for projects where parking demand is measured in hundreds of spaces and where the structure's integration with the surrounding building is architecturally important.
Municipal parking structures serving downtown commercial districts
Transit-oriented developments requiring 500–1,000+ spaces in a compact footprint
Mixed-use projects with retail, residential, or office above the parking structure
Institutional campuses reducing surface lot footprint
Airport and hospitality facilities requiring high throughput and low staffing
Urban infill sites where conventional ramp garages are structurally or spatially infeasible
EPC delivers the No-Post System in partnership with SAWA, an automated parking manufacturer with a track record in large-scale installations across North America and internationally. SAWA's no-post structural platform has been validated at projects exceeding 800 spaces in a single installation.
EPC manages the full U.S. project lifecycle — from feasibility and structural coordination through installation, commissioning, and ongoing service support. The partnership provides clients with a proven international platform backed by domestic engineering and service accountability.
EPC's flagship No-Post System installation. A large-scale downtown San Jose project featuring 800 automated parking spaces. One of the largest automated parking installations in the United States.
An upcoming No-Post System installation in Los Angeles designed to accommodate 104 automated parking spaces. Project details to be announced.
A 100-space No-Post System project in Michigan. Additional details to be announced as the project advances through planning and permitting.
